The BxM Decision Framework
A simple tool that helps RBTs match each student's need to the right kind of support — without lowering the bar.
Step 1
If not, implement the planned accommodation that removes the barrier.
Step 2
If yes, support differentiation: change how it's delivered, keep the expectation.
Step 3
Only the teacher and IEP team modify objectives. The RBT implements the plan.
Priority order: Differentiation → Accommodation → Modification
RBT professional development
Since 2026, RBTs need 12 PDUs in each 2-year renewal cycle. Each module is designed as an RBT Professional Development event (2 PDUs per module) under the BACB's RBT PD requirements. Approval pending.
