Short, focused courses built for the new RBT renewal cycle.
Eight self-paced courses on ethics, documentation, team communication, crisis prevention and professional growth. Every course has written learning objectives, stays inside the RBT scope of practice, and is drawn from the BxM Lead RBT Professional Development Certificate.

What RBTs need now
The BACB changed RBT renewal in 2026. Here is the short version, so you can plan your professional development.
12 PDUs every two years
Since January 1, 2026, RBTs complete 12 Professional Development Units (PDUs) in each two-year recertification cycle.
From an approved source
PDUs come from approved RBT professional development events, in-service training led by a BCBA or BCaBA, or qualifying university courses.
Time-based credit
Credit is earned by instruction time: 25 minutes = 0.5 PDU and 50 minutes = 1 PDU, with no rounding up.
Earned once
The same activity cannot count twice in one cycle, and supervision or client-specific training does not count.

Questions RBTs ask
Do these courses give PDUs right now?
Not yet. PDU approval for these courses is pending. Do not count them toward RBT recertification until we confirm approval.
How many PDUs do I need?
Since January 1, 2026, RBTs complete 12 PDUs in each two-year recertification cycle.
Can I take just one course?
Yes. Every course is complete on its own.
I am in the Lead RBT certificate. Do I need these too?
No. The eight courses are made from the certificate's lessons, so you already have this content. The BACB does not award credit twice for the same activity.
Are these for BCBAs?
No. These are RBT professional development courses. BCBAs and BCaBAs do not earn CEUs from RBT professional development.
