Lead RBT Professional Development Certificate

The Lead RBT Professional Development Certificate is a self-paced program for experienced Registered Behavior Technicians whom peers already turn to for help. It trains you to lead without a title: model treatment integrity in your own sessions, support teammates on routines and logistics, document objectively, and escalate to the BCBA at the right moment, without drifting into supervision.

What you will learn

• Where the Lead RBT role begins and ends, and how to respond when a peer, caregiver or situation pulls you outside your scope
• How to protect treatment integrity and data accuracy, and how to recognize procedural, prompting and generalization errors
• Ethical judgment in gray areas: boundaries, documentation, confidentiality and social media
• Psychological safety, peer feedback, conflict and supporting new team members
• Professional communication, accountability and staying steady under pressure
• Your role in crisis prevention: precursors, plan-based de-escalation, getting help and safety documentation
• Using supervision well, setting goals, building resilience and shaping team culture

Course structure

10 modules and 80 lessons. Every lesson includes:

• Instructional video: a short explainer of the lesson's key decision
